Buffalo Chicken Dip

Buffalo chicken dip
This is my family's all-time favorite Super Bowl appetizer idea! Anytime we are having a get-together, I make this Super Bowl party recipe, and it's definitely a crowd-pleaser! Not tooting my own horn over here, but everyone always seems to finish it!

Ingredients:

2 rotisserie chickens, shredded

1 block of cream cheese

Mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 large bottle of Franks Buffalo Sauce

1/2 pint of sour cream

3 cloves of garlic, minced

Scallions, diced

How to Make the Dip:

  1. Mix the rotisserie chicken, cream cheese, hot sauce, garlic, half a cup of mozzarella cheese, and sour cream into an oven-safe dish.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  3. Cook for 25 minutes. Top with another 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese and put it back in the oven until melted.
  4. Top with some diced scallions for extra flavoring on top!

This Super Bowl appetizer idea is so good and creamy! Serve with tortilla chips or bread.

Hawaiian Turkey Sliders

Hawaiian turkey sliders

This is a great app idea that can also be used for meals, for those who don't just love an appetizer at a Super Bowl party.

Hawaiian Turkey Sliders Ingredients:

¾ cup melted butter

1 tablespoon of garlic salt

12 King’s Hawaiian Dinner Rolls

12 oz thin sliced turkey (I like to use deli meat.)

8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese (Sometimes I will put a little Dijon mustard for a little more flavor on the top inside of the bun.)

How to make Hawaiian Turkey and Cheese Sliders:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise to make sandwiches. Remove tops and set aside.
  3. Place the bottom halves onto a baking pan.
  4. Lay the deli turkey out on the bottom half of the Hawaiian rolls.
  5. Lay slices of mozzarella cheese on top of the deli turkey on the bottom half of the Hawaiian Rolls.
  6. Place the top of the Hawaiian rolls onto the sliced cheese to form the sliders.
  7. Mix the melted butter and garlic salt together in a small bowl.
  8. Brush or pour the butter mixture evenly on top of the prepared turkey sliders.
  9. Place the prepared Hawaiian roll sliders in a baking pan.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the rolls are lightly browned and the cheese is melted.

Serve and enjoy! Writing about this Super Bowl party recipe in particular is making me want to head up to my kitchen and make them right now!

Bacon-Wrapped Little Hot Dogs

Bacon wrapped mini hot dogs

Here is another great Super Bowl appetizer idea that is very easy and the kids usually love!

Ingredients:

Little Smokies (little hot dogs)

Bacon

Brown sugar

Garlic powder (optional)

Toothpicks (plain)

How to Make Little Smokies:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cut the bacon into thirds.
  3. Roll one piece of bacon around one little hot dog. (The bacon will overlap.) Once the bacon is onto the Little Smokie, then secure it with a toothpick. Continue doing this to all of the Little Smokies.
  4. In a shallow bowl or dish, pour in the brown sugar and garlic powder, if using.
  5. Dip the Little Smokies (that are now wrapped in bacon) in the brown sugar to cover.
  6. Place each Little Smokie with a piece of bacon on a baking sheet that is lined with foil. Trust me, you want the foil to cover the pan for easy clean-up.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes.
  8. Then, flip them over and back for another 10 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.
  10. Place on a serving dish and watch them disappear!

You can remove the toothpicks when serving, but I like to leave them, as it’s an easy way for your guest to pick up these delicious Little Smokies. These are so, so good and usually those little hands are the first ones to make these bacon-wrapped hot dogs disappear.
